One Singapore Airlines flight cancelled, three rerouted after Pakistan closes airspace

SINGAPORE, Feb 28, 2019, TODAYonline. Singapore Airlines has cancelled one flight and rerouted three others following the closure of Pakistani airspace, amid rising tensions and air strikes involving Pakistan and India, reported the TODAYonline.

SQ325, which was due to depart Frankfurt at 9.55pm (Frankfurt time) on Wednesday (Feb 27) and arrive at 5.15pm (Singapore time) on Thursday, has been cancelled. Passengers will be transferred to other airlines, an SIA spokesperson said in response to TODAY’s queries.

SQ326, operating from Singapore to Frankfurt, will stop in Mumbai for refuelling before heading to the German city, provided it is able to arrive in Frankfurt before the airport’s curfew.
