Russia’s Open Innovations Forum involves in more than 120,000 people this year

MOSCOW/SKOLKOVO, Oct 23, 2020, Pan Pacific Agency. More than 120,000 people from 134 countries took part in the 9th international Open Innovations Forum which was held online this year. Broadcast on the Open Innovations web-site received 135,770 views, number of unique web-site visitors reached 121,159. Broadcast was presented in social media (1,653,962 views on VK, more than 63,300 on YouTube) and partners’ websites. Also a traditional Startup Expo exhibition by virtual booths of 400 technological companies was held online and will keep on working after the forum, the event’s press service messaged today.

This year, three days of the forum offered more than 100 business events with 448 experts from 33 countries. The forum’s agenda was dedicated to impact of pandemic and technological trends of post-Covid-19 future on digitization advancement. Russia’s president Vladimir Putin, current PM Mikhail Mishustin and former PM Dmitry Medvedev, S. Korea’s PM Chung Sye-kyun welcomed the forum participants via letter or video messages.

“Forum’s business program included sessions with a special representative of the Russian Federation for digital and technological development Dmitry Peskov, minister of healthcare of Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, winner of Nobel memorial prize in economic sciences Michael Kremer, vice president of Google Meir Brand, general manager of Spotify in Russia and CIS Ilya Alekseev, CTO of Intel GMT division Claire Vishik, director of McKinsey Global Institute Jonathan Woetzel, general manager of the Russian Post Maksim Akimov, general manager — board chairman of JSCo RZD Oleg Belozyorov, Corporate Scientist at 3M Jayshree Seth and other experts,” the press release informed.

The Open Innovations Forum facilitated signing of eight agreements between SBI “Moscow Agency of Innovations” and Russian foundations, companies and universities. Also there were some agreements signed between “Skolkovo” Foundation and SCHNEIDER GROUP, VTB and Skolkovo Ventures, Moscow Government, RVC and Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Zyfra Group of Companies and Rostec Academy. “Skolkovo” Foundation and Berlin-Brandenburg Digital Economy Alliance announced signing of a cooperation memorandum.
