The Russian Federation is an economy of 144 million people. When it joined APEC in 1998, Russia’s real GDP stood at USD 813 billion, while its real per capita GDP was USD 5,500. By 2016, Russia’s GDP and per capita GDP more than doubled at USD 1.6 trillion and USD 11,200 respectively.
