Russian president ends nationwide coronavirus ‘vacation’ but regional govts doesn’t yet

MOSCOW, May 11, 2020, Pan Pacific Agency. Russia’s nationwide lockdown amid coronavirus spread to be finished from May 12, president Vladimir Putin said during video conference with senior govt’s officials.

Russian restrictions were introduced more than 6 weeks ago. Since May 12, regional governors may stepwise lifted measures in accordance with the rules established by presidential decree, Mr. Putin said. However, no one governor has canceled the restrictions. On the contrary, many governors have already decided to extend the seff-isolation regime until the end of May.
