Russia’s emergency holiday extended till May 12, then restrictions may be eased: President Putin

MOSCOW, Apr 28, 2020, Pan Pacific Agency. Russia’s nationwide soft lockdown, called an emergency holiday amid coronavirus spread, will be extended until May 12, president Putin said today. So, another two weeks will be inactive in Russia for all workers except essential services and govt services. Extraordinaly holiday with movement restrictions started since Apr 2.

“The situation remains very difficult. Experts say that the peak of the epidemic has not been passed yet. Now we’re facing the most intense stage of the battle against the epidemic. Coronavirus contracting risks is on the highest level,” Mr. Putin said to Russian governors via video.
