LIMA, Jul 30, 2019, ANDINA. Peru Brand will be on display to the world, as its logo will be on the mainsail of Peru’s Navy training ship BAP Union during its international mission set for 2020 and 2021, the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) has informed, reported the ANDINA.
“Thanks to the international mission of BAP Union, we will have a display case to tell the world about our country’s diversity and its main export products, as well as our cultural, adventure, natural, and gastronomic destinations that all tourists must get to know,” Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Edgar Vasquez expressed.
“Due to the coordinated works between PromPeru and Peru’s Navy, BAP Union will be a traveling embassy, which will show the best from our country during its tour around the entire world,” PromPeru CEO Luis Torres added.
Therefore, the Inca country’s main tourist attractions and star export products —promoted through Superfoods Peru, Cafes del Peru, Alpaca del Peru, and Pisco, Spirit of Peru— will be promoted at an international level.
It should be noted Marca Peru is a strategy by PromPeru aimed at boosting tourism, increasing exports, and encouraging foreign investments in the Andean nation.
For that reason, the institution undertakes diverse promotion efforts in Peru and abroad.
BAP Union is set to carry out an international tour. It will visit strategic countries such as Italy, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France, Japan, China, South Korea, and India.
