Security force commandant arrested in cattle-smuggling case at the India-Bangladesh border

DHAKA, Nov 18, 2020, Dhaka Tribune. The Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Border Security Force (BSF) commandant Satish Kumar on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a cattle smuggling racket operating at the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal, reports NDTV citing PTI, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

CBI summoned him for questioning on Tuesday afternoon.

After a marathon questioning which went on for hours, the officials decided to arrest him.

“Satish Kumar has been arrested. He will be produced before a court tomorrow (on Wednesday),” the CBI source said.
