7-Eleven retailer to enter Laos

VIENTIANE, Sep 2, 2020, Retail & Leisure International. CP All has been named as the licensed distributor of 7-Eleven in Laos; the company also runs some 12,000 7-Eleven locations in the Thailand market. The partnership serves as a master franchise agreement with 7-Eleven, to operate the convenience store chain in Laos for 30 years, Retail & Leisure International reported.

7-Eleven President and CEO Joe DePinto has commented on the partnership “With its remarkable success in Thailand, I can think of no one better than CP All to bring the 7-Eleven brand to consumers in Laos.”

It is expected that the 7-Eleven Laos store will offer similar services to the other Thai 7-Elevens which includes the usual convenience store services of selling food and drink as well as other services such as banking, bill paying and other financial services.

The Laos store is expected to open in the next two years.
