HANOI, May 8, 2021, VN Express. Hanoi has proposed building a fourth ring road with a price tag of VND135 trillion ($5.87 billion) to connect with neighboring localities, VN Express reported.

The road would pass through 14 districts in three localities, running 56.5 kilometers in Hanoi, 20.3 kilometers in Hung Yen Province and 21.2 kilometers in Bac Ninh Province.

The elevated road will have two bridges crossing the Red River.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The has expressed support for the project, saying an elevated road will have long term positive impacts and will be efficient in the long run.

As proposed, the project is set to be invested under a public-private partnership model and completed in around eight years.
