Mongolian parliament approves new cabinet

ULAANBAATAR, Jul 8, 2020, News.mn. At 7 July session, the Mongolian Parliament approved the structure of the new Cabinet headed by Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, News.mn reported.

The Mongolian Cabinet will have 14 ministries – six of them are general and eight are functional. One new development is a that a new Ministry of Culture has been formed from the old Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.

The Mongolian People’s Party, which is the country’s ruling party, won 62 seats in the 24 June parliamentary election; subsequently, the MPP holds the ministerial posts in the new cabinet.
