NEW DELHI, Jun 8, 2020, India Today. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is unwell and will undergo coronavirus test. Kejriwal has been experiencing fever since Sunday along with a sore throat, India Today reported.

Arvind Kejriwal has complained of fever and sore throat, raising concerns of coronavirus infection. Kejriwal will now undergo tests to check if he has caught the coronavirus.

Arvind Kejriwal has cancelled all his meetings since Sunday afternoon and has also isolated himself, said sources.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh said Kejriwal will undergo a coronavirus test on Tuesday. “Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was complaining of fever and soar throat since yesterday, after which he isolated himself at his residence. He will undergo COVID-19 test tomorrow. He is also diabetic,” said Sanjay Singh.

Officials said CM Kejriwal had attended a Cabinet meeting on Sunday morning and thereafter, he did not attend any meeting. He has self-isolated after developing the fever.

Delhi CM Kejriwal was last seen on Sunday evening during an online media briefing. Kejriwal on Sunday announced the Delhi government’s decision to make all Delhi government and private hospitals exclusive for residents of Delhi during the coronavirus crisis.

Delhi has recorded a total of 28,936 coronavirus cases while 812 people have died so far. Meanwhile, coronavirus cases in India have gone up by almost 10,000 on Sunday.

India recorded 9,983 new Covid cases on Sunday, taking the total case tally to over 2.56 lakh. The death toll has also gone past 7,000 in the country.
