G-20 summit in Argentina: PM Modi says 2018 was important for India-China relations

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 30, 2018, India Today. PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, reported the India Today.

Modi said, “This year has been very important for relations between our two nations, I am confident that coming year would be even better.”

Modi expressed gratitude to Chinese president. He talked about the closer development partnership between India and China at the meeting on the sidelines of Group of 20 summit.

Modi on Thursday (November 29) arrived in Argentina’s capital of Buenos Aires to attend the 13th G-20 summit where he will discuss ways to meet the new and upcoming challenges of the coming decade with other world leaders, including US President Donald Trump.

He will be in Buenos Aires till December 1.

The Prime Minister said the participants would deliberate on the situation of the global economy and trade, international financial and tax systems, the future of work, women empowerment, infrastructure and sustainable development.

The Prime Minister stressed on the need to strengthen international cooperation and enhance coordinated action against fugitive economic offenders and financing of terrorism.
