WASHINGTON D.C., Mar 14, 2020, 9News. Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka will go into self-isolation after close contact with Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton. Ms Trump, who serves as an adviser to her father, is working from home as a precaution, 9News reported.

“Exposures from the case were assessed and the White House Medical Unit confirmed, in accordance with CDC guidance, that Ivanka is exhibiting no symptoms and does not need to self-quarantine,” the White House said in a statement.

“She worked from home today out of an abundance of caution until guidance was given.”

Mr Dutton announced yesterday that he had been diagnosed with coronavirus after waking up with a sore throat and a temperature.

Mr Dutton himself is resting at a Queensland hospital, but said he is feeling fine.

In his visit to Washington DC, Mr Dutton also met with US Attorney-General William Barr and Trump aide Kellyanne Conway.

Mr Barr also worked from home yesterday but said he is “feeling great”.

“I immediately contacted the Queensland Department of Health and was subsequently tested for COVID-19,” Mr Dutton said in a statement yesterday evening, as Pan Pacific Agency reported.

“I was advised by Queensland Health this afternoon that the test had returned positive.”

There were earlier concerns Mr Dutton was in close proximity to a number of Cabinet ministers both last week and this week and some of those ministers may need to go into self-isolation as a precaution.

However, the Australian Prime Minister’s office confirmed that Queensland Health will undertake the appropriate contact tracing to determine who came into contact with Mr Dutton and may be infected.
