MANILA, Oct 4, 2020, MB. It looks like better days are coming for ABS-CBN. Fans speculated that Kapamilya programs would be seen on Zoe TV, a free television channel, after SkyCable, an affiliate of ABS-CBN, added Zoe TV Channel 11 to its channel line-up based on the cable firm’s advisory, Manila Bulletin reported.

“Zoe Channel will be added to your SKYCable plans starting October 5, 2020,” the latest advisory of SkyCable said.

It is believed that ABS-CBN and Zoe TV would have a Blocktimer Agreement.
Such agreement is nothing new in the media and television industry, observers said.

In local show business, the most popular Blocktimer Agreement exists between GMA 7 and APT Entertainment for the programs “Eat Bulaga” and “My Daddy’s Gurl.”

Even TV5 and Archangel Media have a Blocktimer Agreement for the shows “Fill in the Bank,” “Bawal na Game Show” and “Chika Besh.”

Another Blocktimer Agreement exists between TV5 and Brightlight Productions in which Star Magic Artists will appear on programs produced by Brightlight.

Earlier it was reported that ABS-CBN and Zoe TV would have partnerships with websites Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) and Bilyonaryo.

On May 5, 2020, the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease and desist order against ABS-CBN due to expired franchise. The major broadcast network was ordered to stop its television and radio operations.

Zoe Broadcasting Network, Inc. (Zoe) is presently in its 28th year of Christian, family-oriented and wholesome television and radio broadcasting, according to its website.

The network has been granted the legislative franchise and authority to operate an AM Radio Station (DZJV /1458 kHz Calamba) in Calamba City, Laguna, a VHF TV Channel 11 in Mega Manila and UHF TV Channels 33 in Mega Manila and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and (DWZB 91.1 MHz Palawan), an FM Radio Station in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Its TV platforms are available in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces on free TV, nationwide through various cable stations and worldwide through live streaming and other new media formats.

In Calamba City, DZJV 1458 kHz AM takes pride as the pioneering and only local radio station in the great city of Calamba, the birthplace of our National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Effective June 4, 2019, all programs of ZOE aired on GMA and GNTV are no longer shown, the website added.
