PHNOM PENH, Sep 3, 2020, Khmer Times. Cambodia will charge only $100 from foreigners for each of the required two COVID-19 tests and the rest of their deposit will be returned to them, Khmer Times reported.

The additional notification was circulated yesterday by the Ministry of Health in order to assure the transparency of the service among incoming foreigners.

The first test, according to the statement, will be required upon their arrival and the second test will be done on the 13th day of their quarantine.

Foreigners can get tested at the assigned health bases closest to them and the payment will be deducted from their deposit with commercial banks which are the ministry’s partners.

The remainder of the deposit will be returned to the owner within three days after having the negative testing result (2nd test).

The charges do not include the hotel or accommodation fees and other services if the foreigners are detected with COVID-19.
