Brunei’s royal family attend royal banquet on Malaysian King’s installation ceremony

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1, 2019, Borneo Bulletin. His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam attended the Royal Banquet in conjunction with the Installation Ceremony of His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah at the Banquet Hall of the Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, reported the Borneo Bulletin.

Accompanying Their Majesties were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel, Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah, and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.

Also accompanying were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.

Upon arriving at the Anjung Utama, Istana Negara, Their Majesties were greeted by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid bin Yusof Rawa.

Their Majesties were invited to the Seri Maharaja Hall, and then proceeded for a group photograph session with His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj; Their Royal Highnesses the Raja-Raja and the Raja-Raja Permaisuri; royal family members; Yang di-Pertua Negeri; the Prime Minister of Malaysia; and other distinguished guests.

From the Seri Maharaja Hall, Their Majesties together with His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, then proceeded to the Banquet Hall for the Royal Banquet. The Royal Banquet began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Mufti of the Federal Territories (Malaysia) Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Seri Dr Zulkifli bin Mohamad Al-Bakri.

At the end of the Royal Banquet, Their Majesties joined Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong in celebrating the birth anniversary of His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

Their Majesties were then invited to proceed to the Anjung Utama, together with His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, as well as other royal family members and distinguished guests, before leaving the ceremony.
