MOSCOW, Oct 15, 2019, Pan Pacific Agency. Global technology conference “Sooner Than You Think: Smart Cities” organized by Bloomberg and Skolkovo Foundation will be held in Moscow on October 22 as part of the “Open Innovations” International Forum, press service of the event told Pan Pacific Agency. Technology conferences have been held since 2017 by the event division of Bloomberg in the UK, the USA, France and Singapore. “Sooner Than You Think” conferences combine the experience of one of the world’s largest business information agencies with the capabilities of the analytical resources of Bloomberg Global Data and Bloomberg Intelligence. “Panel discussions and open interviews at the conference will be devoted to the development of “smart city” technologies in Russia and the world. 5G networks, unmanned vehicles, face recognition systems – innovations aimed at strengthening high-tech infrastructure. Experts will discuss which regulatory constraints, engineering deficiencies and security risks need to be addressed so that these technologies grow fast,” the press service of the event informed.

“We believe that the fact that the first Russian “Sooner Than You Think” conference will be held in “Skolkovo” confirms its status as a leading global innovation center. Discussions both at the Open Innovations Forum and at the conference are devoted to the most pressing issues – the ways of developing global business related to digitalization, and technological breakthroughs that even today determine the global economy of tomorrow,” Arkady Dvorkovich, Chairman of Skolkovo Foundation, said.
