Moscow is under soft lockdown introducing a regime of home self-isolation for all residents from Mar 30: Mayor

MOSCOW, Mar 29, 2020, Pan Pacific Agency. To leave a house in the Russia’s capital will be allowed only by special passes, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the his official site sobyanin.ru, as Interfax cited. Similar restrictions were introduced by Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Region, Russian media reported.

It will be possible to leave the apartments only for applying for emergency assistance, trips to work – if necessary, making purchases in a pharmacy or store, Interfax reported.

So, from Monday (Mar 30), Moscow and Moscow Region introduce a regime of home self-isolation for all residents, regardless of age.

By a decree of the Moscow’s mayor of March 29, it’s prescribed to oblige:

9.3. Citizens shall not leave their places of residence (stay), except in cases of applying for emergency medical care and cases of other direct threats to life and health, cases of moving to a place (from a place) of carrying out activities (including work), which is not suspended in accordance with this decree, the implementation of activities related to movement through the territory of the city of Moscow, if such movement is directly related to the implementation of activities that are not suspended in accordance with a standing decree (including the provision of transport and delivery services), as well as following to the nearest place of purchase of goods, work, services, the implementation of which is not limited in accordance with this decree, walking pets at a distance not exceeding 100 meters from the place of residence (stay), removal of waste to the nearest place of accumulation of waste.
