Nissan Motor’s May global sales rose 28 per cent on year

TOKYO, Jun 29, 2021, Dow Jones Newswires. Nissan Motor Co. said Tuesday that its global sales in May rose 28% compared with the same period a year earlier, when sales were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, Market Watch reported.

The Japanese auto maker said May sales increased to 348,610 vehicles.

Sales rose 70.5% in the U.S., 34% in Japan but fell 15% in China.

Nissan said global production rose 45% to 227,908 vehicles in May. Production increased 16% in Japan but fell 31% in China.
