SINGAPORE, Dec 5, 2019, ANTARA. Jakarta-based multi-service platform Gojek launched a new online movie-streaming application GoPlay to support Indonesia’s film industry by acquainting global audiences to local movies, ANTARA reported.

“Our local content has been rapidly improved in terms of the quality, and we seek to launch a streaming service to help offer better exposure to Indonesia’s movies,” CEO of the Gojek Entertainment Group Edy Sulistyo told the press on the sidelines of the Singapore Media Festival here, Tuesday (Dec 3).

The Singapore Media Festival, organized in Singapore from Nov 21 to Dec 8, is an annual event that serves as a platform for leaders, experts, and stakeholders in the media and creative industries to share views and broaden business networks.

On the sidelines of the event, Sulistyo expounded that the app had been launched for the past three months.

After downloading the app, people across the globe can watch at least 100 Indonesian movies, he pointed out.
