What US is Google searching while Trump is in Delhi

NEW DELHI, Feb 25, 2020, India Today. US President Donald Trump’s visit to India is the subject that several sections of the internet are busy discussing at the moment apart from gathering details of his tour from several sources and the media. But in the midst of Trump’s India tour, there is something that is keeping the residents of the US occupied and the answer has been obtained from Google Trends, India Today reported.

While Trump is touring India, US has been looking up on two particular subjects on Google – “What is India?” and “Where is India?” A cursory glance at Google Trends will explain the story. As far as “What is India” is concerned, search levels from USA witnessed a considerable high January 28 onwards up till now.

But more than “What is India”, US appears to have shown keen interest in “Where is India?” The graph on Google Trends has been fluctuating though but depicts the rise in search levels on the subject from February 13 onwards.

If you look at it sub-region wise, interest levels on the aforementioned subjects have been the highest in the District of Columbia followed by Hawaii, West Virginia and South Dakota.

Along with First Lady Melania Trump, his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, Donald Trump landed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad at around 11:37 am on February 24.

After landing in Ahmedabad, Trump visited the Sabarmati Ashram and also addressed over one lakh people at the Motera Stadium. After touring the Taj Mahal in Agra later, he flew out to Delhi. Today, Trump will be given a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and will subsequently visit Rajghat.

Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Donald Trump will hold restricted and delegation-level talks at the Hyderabad House later in the day.
